Wow, beautiful... I love the helm, and design. This is going in my favorites. :) Great capture of The Knight of The Cart... The costumes from Kingdom of Heaven rock. I prefer surcoats and chain mail over plate armor any day.

Yeah, after reading numerous adaptations of the Arthurian mythos, and seeing the depictions of the Lancelot character, I'd have to say that Chretien and TH White's versions are my favorites: with one being unquestionably virtuous and courteous, while the latter is so flawed and battles with himself constantly.

I too am a fan of the costumes from the 12th and 13th centuries. There was something particularly inspiring about the costume design from the movie Kingdom of Heaven, which I loved - it was both regal and gritty at the same time. I'll stop gushing about my love for Medieval history and romance now haha, thanks for the feedback : )

Oooo!! I love Chretien de Troyes! And I love Lancelot--and this awesome! The detail of dirt on his surcoat is excellent, because it goes along with the humiliation of him riding in a dung cart. And I like the details of knightly attire of that period, like his helm. Twelfth century is my preference for depicting Arthur and his knights. And the swan and fleur-de-lys--very nice. :)
